Take part in the City Nature Challenge at the home of the future Halifax Wilderness Park
Join Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) staff as they lead citizens out into the future Halifax Wilderness Park to take part in the City Nature Challenge. This Challenge engages people and cities across the world to see who can make the most observations, who can find the most species and who can engage the most people. Anyone can take part, no matter your level (or lack) of expertise.
Simply download the iNaturalist app from iTunes or the Google Play store and join the CNC-Halifax project. You can upload an observation during the event timeframe of April 26–29th or join Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) staff on April 27th and we’ll do this together!
Curious about what people are finding? Check out #CityNatureChallenge for some great photos and insights.

NCC is working alongside the Halifax Regional Municipality and the Shaw Group to preserve an already popular hiking and swimming destination in the Williams Lake and Purcell’s Cove area. For more information on the Halifax Wilderness Park and how you can help, visit keephalifaxwild.ca.
