We’re excited to update you on the long-standing issue of the Williams Lake Dam!
Build Nova Scotia has issued the following public service announcement regarding preliminary assessment work that will be taking place in the area of the dam. Equipment necessary for this work will be accessing the area by the Shaw Wilderness Park trail beginning this month.

Details: The aging Williams Lake Dam presents safety issues that must be addressed. The dam needs to be fully assessed to ensure appropriate mitigation. This necessary geotechnical work includes drilling some bore holes and removing up to 10 trees. Some machinery will need to use the trail in Shaw Wilderness Park to access the site.
