Progress on the New Dam at Williams Lake, Halifax

The new dam to save Williams Lake started to take shape in June of this year, with clearing of the site and lowering of the lake level by Dexter Construction Company, overseen by Build Nova Scotia. October saw completion of the two huge wing-walls of the dam. The focus is now on the 2-tiered spillway in the centre of the structure. Construction should be complete by the beginning of 2027.
