With over 95% of the funds committed to the Halifax Wilderness Park project, YOU can #KeepHalifaxWild, today!
Since launching the fundraising campaign this past September, the future Halifax Wilderness Park is closer to becoming a reality. Thanks to our amazing donors, there is only $400,000 left to raise for this ambitious $8 million project, located at Williams Lake. You can help us reach the finish line!

Join Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) staff as they lead citizens out into the future Halifax Wilderness Park to take part in the City Nature Challenge. This Challenge engages people and cities across the world to see who can make the most observations, who can find the most species and who can engage the most people. Anyone can take part, no matter your level (or lack) of expertise.

When the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) raises the rest of the funds needed to purchase the land for the Halifax Wilderness Park on William’s Lake, Halifax City will own the land. We need your financial contributions to support the campaign… then we can address the important issues of water levels and the dam.

Nature conservation will play a crucial role in our efforts to mitigate climate change by helping store carbon and allowing people and wildlife to adapt to changing conditions. Donate to the Backlands wilderness park at https://KeepHalifaxWild.ca
