Successful Cleanup at Williams Lake

Broken bottles, a tire, and an expired beaver

Thanks to Evan Ross for taking charge of the annual lake clean-up this morning. The WLCC’ers were joined by two of Evan’s friends and a teacher from Pathways to Education who brought three students with him. In addition to pails of debris the impressive haul included old stubby beer bottles, broken glass, clothing (what did they go home in?), some large heavy metal drain grids, a camp chair, and the inevitable rubber tire.

Due to extremely low lake levels, some very old debris was exposed including old beer “stubbies” and some ancient pop bottles. Andrew also made the sad discovery of a dead beaver on the far side of the lake.

A big thanks to everybody for a good job well done!
