UPDATE: Potential Blue-green Algal Bloom in Williams lake NS

Algal bloom

A potential blue-green algal bloom that appeared in Williams Lake on Sunday July 18th has now cleared. The bloom was limited to a stretch of shoreline near the junction of Wyndrock Drive and Litchfield Crescent. A local resident alerted the Williams Lake Conservation Company (WLCC) and contacted the provincial Department of Environment.

Flock to Urban Farm for Sparrows, Hawks, and Doves

The Williams Lake Conservation Company (WLCC), the Urban Farm Museum Society of Spryfield (UFMSS) and the Backlands Coalition are working together on a new project named “Sparrows Hawks & Doves.” Come to the Urban Farm to join in celebrating the project and help raise awareness of our birds.
