Preparing for the Dam Rebuild

Build Nova Scotia is preparing the access route, needed to move the large heavy construction equipment and vehicles from the Shaw Wilderness Park parking area to the dam, by widening the existing path.

Hope for Wildlife is a charitable wildlife rehabilitation and education organization. Since 1997, they have rescued, rehabilitated, and released over 90,000 injured and orphaned wild animals representing over 250 species in Nova Scotia.

NCC/HRM (Nature Conservancy of Canada/Halifax Regional Municipality) have not yet made a formal announcement about the “Etu’qamikejk Trail” in the SWP (Shaw Wilderness Park)* but the signs have been up for a few months. I have been getting questions about it, so here’s some info. about the name and the place.
