Williams Lake Levels Begin to Drop – 1 June, 2026

Lake levels will begin to drop today and continue over the next 2.5 week as the construction site is prepared for the next important phase of the building of the new dam.
To safely accommodate the installation of the temporary cofferdam on the lakebed, next to the old dam, lake water levels need to be lowered by 5 ft.
Today, lake water will be slowly drained from Williams Lake, and soon the visible shoreline will be at mid-summer drought levels. This is a temporary situation and once the new dam is installed and the cofferdam removed, we will have our lake back.
Continue to follow us for current updates and information on the replacement of the 200-year-old Williams Lake dam.
