The Williams Lake Conservation Company is partnering with the Canadian Wildlife Federation and Watersheds Canada to bring you their successful shoreline evaluation program, Love Your Lake.
In the coming days volunteers from the WLCC will be knocking on the doors of lakeshore property homes to distribute an information package about the Love Your Lake and a survey of your interests and thoughts on your use of the lake and your concerns
Our recent report shows the original waterflow design made at the time of the Ravenscraig development is no longer working and the result is affecting both quality and quantity of water flowing into Williams Lake.
The Williams Lake Conservation Company has recently begun working with Love Your Lake, “…a shoreline evaluation program developed by Watersheds Canada and the Canadian Wildlife Federation (CWF), and conducted for any shoreline community across the country by local organizations.”
Williams Lake levels have begun their summer decline. The level was measured as 60 cm below the top of the dam yesterday. This is lower than the level recorded on the same day in 13 out of previous 19 years.
