Big Issues with a Small Lot in Spryfield
UPDATE: The HRM Staff Report on re-zoning of 48-50 Old Sambro Road has been published. The WLCC is very concerned that our issues have not be properly addressed in the Report. We are preparing a draft response to be filed with the Clerks office no later than Monday as the matter proceeds to Halifax and West Community Council this Tuesday at 6 pm.
Catamaran Pond’s Wetlands at risk
The Williams Lake Conservation Conservation Company (WLCC) is asking for your support. A proposed zoning change in the area of Catamaran Ponds, Spryfield, is under consideration by the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM). On behalf of Halifax residents who enjoy these lakes, the WLCC is raising the issue of how development next to the ponds will degrade water quality and disrupt water flow to the lakes.
