Today (May 14, 2020) would be the 100th birthday of one of the founding fathers of the WLCC – Dr. Kenneth (Ken) Hall.

On Earth Day the Ecology Action Centre hosted several online presentations. The first presentation is of local interest to us. It discusses Halifax’s urban wilderness areas and mentions our new Shaw Wilderness Park in the Williams Lake backlands.

Collecting trash and debris that collects along the shoreline adds purpose to the exercise and improves the views of the coves and islands that we enjoy!

The Nova Scotia House of Assembly recognizes the work of the WLCC in our 50th Anniversary year – 2018
